Advanced Power Technologies, LLC.
Since 1999, Advanced Power Technologies (APT) has been developing unique product solutions for the transformer monitoring market. Our focus has always been to develop the best and reliable technology at an affordable price. Our first product the TTC-1000 that we have shipped over 11,000 across the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean is an embodiment of this philosophy.
As APT moves into its second decade we continue to build on our success by designing simple to use maintenance-free products that never need calibration. We are proud to be the only manufacturer of transformer monitoring products covered by a Lifetime Warranty and to make the claim of no calibration ever. It is no accident that APT is the technology leader in the area of condition-based assessment instruments for Power Transformers.
In 2011, Advanced Power Technologies released the “Next Gen” transformer monitoring platform, ECLIPSE. ECLIPSE is designed to be the hub of the transformer monitoring system, integrating data from everywhere around a transformer and builds on the design principles of the TTC-1000 that advance the state-of-the-art of transformer monitoring.
In 2018 Advanced Power Technologies introduced its second-generation ECLIPSE called Total ECLIPSE that implemented IEC61850 Edition 2 with GOOSE Messaging as well as IEC62439 PRP/HSR for enhanced communications reliability we need today. Included, in Total ECLIPSE is a dazzling array of features including our recently released and Patented on-line bushing monitor. We have more in store for future, building on our knowledge to design the best-in-class transformer monitoring systems.
As of 2019, the company has 13 patents, all of which are innovative and can be applied in different markets for different purposes.
APT integrates the following four values in its work:
- Prioritization of Customer Service
- Maintenance-Free Product Design
- Fully Featured and Cost-Efficient Product Design
- Guaranteed Lifetime Warranty
APT is very active in both the local as well as scientific community. APT gives back to the local community through providing scholarship opportunities for young engineers to attend university through the IEEE Foundation. Additionally, Gary represents APT at various IEEE conferences.
In April 2022 APT attended the IEEE/PES T&D Conference & Exposition in New Orleans, LA. During the event Gary Hoffman was interviewed to discuss APT’s involvement in the Power Industry.
