Q: What calibration/ programming will be required upon receiving our Advanced Power Technologies monitoring system?
A: None! Our products require zero calibration and are programmed by us before leaving the factory.
Q: Do your products carry a manufacturer’s warranty?
A: All of our products carry a guaranteed LIFETIME warranty.
Q: We need to be in compliance with NERC TPL-007-4 “Transmission System Planned Performance for Geomagnetic Disturbance Events.” Do you provide a solution for this?
A: Yes. We offer multiple levels of GIC Monitoring. Please contact your Application Engineer for more information.
Q: We have mechanical oil and winding temperature gauges that we are looking to upgrade. Are we able to retrofit your products?
A: Absolutely. We offer a variety of solutions to make retrofitting quick, easy, and cost effective. Upgrading will retain and improve the functionality of mechanical gauges while providing many additional features. Please contact your Application Engineer for more information.
Q: I’m interested in utilizing your devices for cooling control including automatic fan exercising as well as your patented Pre-Cooling technology. If we lose power to the device, will we lose control of the fans?
A: Fan control outputs can be configured in “fail-safe” operation, so that in the event the device loses power the cooling stages will automatically pick-up until power is restored.
Q: I’m looking to connect to an Advanced Power Technologies device to program settings, retrieve data, perform a test, etc. What will I need to do so?
A: A null-modem RS-232 cable (Total ECLIPSE devices may also use USB-B) will be required to connect to a computer loaded with terminal software. We now provide our own free software “APT Term” available in the Support section of our website.
